great product, minor problem

I bought these because my colored pencils were getting down to the nubs. They work pretty well, but the only problem is that they have no grip against torque. The extenders bite into the pencil because it only has a circle of contact with the pencil. When attempting to sharpen my pencils with the holder attached, the pencil just spun in the holder with the sharpener. They also wiggle in the holder a little bit.
They have a great weight and do what they are supposed to.

I have and enjoy other extenders for my standard sized pencils (graphite, charcoal, and color) but needed these for my thicker Derwent pencils--especially the Coloursoft color pencils. At first I thought my thicker Derwent pencils would not quite slide down inside, but when I unscrewed the silver holder all the way they slid in nicely. It's useful that they also serve to protect the sharpened points when you insert the pencils upside down, but I bought them (three sets--six holders in all) primarily to facilitate the use of my Derwent pencils when they've become short due to use over time. For that purpose, I consider these essential.
Finally I was amazed at how quickly they arrived.
Overall I'm very pleased and highly recommend these.
